FIELD: electrical engineering; designing electrical machines such as commutator ones. SUBSTANCE: electrical machine armature has its winding sections divided into separate coils distributed among armature slots so that at least some of coil sides of each preceding section are disposed in same slots as those of next sections. Section coils are divided, in their turn, into two parts. Novelty is that first sides of both coil parts are placed in same armature slot and second sides, in different slots. Such design solution ensures that number of coil sides of last sections of preceding slots placed in same slots as coils sides of first sections of next slots is increased thereby enhancing damping properties of armature winding. In addition it reduces inductance of sections and armature unbalance thereby improving commutation of electrical machine and enhancing service life of brush gear. EFFECT: improved commutation due to raising damping properties of armature winding and improving winding design. 1 cl, 1 dwg
