FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: transformer that can be used as part of basic pieces of electrical equipment for saving electrical energy has three legs, top, bottom, and intermediate yokes. Bottom sections of legs carry primary winding phases. Each secondary-winding phase is assembled of two parts of which one is disposed on bottom section and other one, on top section of legs. Top yoke is made in the form of cylinder built of two longitudinal parts of which one is made of ferromagnetic material and other one, of insulating material. Cylinder can be easily turned about its axis for stepless regulation of transformer output voltage. EFFECT: enhanced safety and facilitated stepless regulation of output voltage. 1 cl, 2 dwg
