FIELD: electrical engineering; nonsalient pole rotors of synchronous machines; attachment of end-winding retaining rings. SUBSTANCE: proposed rotor used for nonsalient pole machines such as turbogenerators has barrel with large and small teeth, locking device, and end-winding retaining ring. Novelty is that depressions are made only on large teeth to receive locking device that has segment resting in working position on radial displacement mechanism which is, essentially, wedge member locked on one end with retainer and on other, with nut disposed on stud installed in additional hole of tooth depression. In working position segment comes in mesh with annular slot of end-winding retaining ring. EFFECT: enhanced reliability, simplified design of locking device, facilitated handling of retaining ring. 1 cl, 4 dwg
