FIELD: mechanical engineering, instrument engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of pump valve units, mainly, piston pumps, to provide reliable closing of mains at higher pressures. Proposed ball valve contains body, and ball arranged in pass- through channel. Pass-through channel is stepped. Ball pressed by coiled spring to conical seat. Ball is arranged in pass-through channel in one of its steps with minimum clearance. Spring interacts with ball through support member. Minimum clearance between walls of channels and ball is made over length 0.5-1 mm higher from diametric plane of ball. EFFECT: simplified technological process at provision of high centering of ball on conical seat, increased service life of valve. 2 cl, 1 dwg
