The propelling charge is positioned in stages separated by partitions, each stage consists of combustion chambers separated by partitions, with propelling charges and electric primers located in them. The combustion chambers are connected by an electric circuit. The last of the combustion chambers serves as a locking device. The quantity of stages may make up two and more.
