FIELD: agriculture, in particular, treatment of grain with the use of organic preservatives. SUBSTANCE: method involves treating grain in microwave electromagnetic field with the use of propionic acid comprising additive of chitosan. Source of chitosan is preparation produced by sequential extracting of Mortierella globulifera micromycet biomass with the use of non-polar extractant in above-critical state, water, alkaline, water, acid, water, alkaline and water, with following joining of first extract with solid residue. EFFECT: reliable grain storage method.
