SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicinal agents and represents the new pharmaceutical composition comprising anti-Fas-antibody that can be used as an agent for prophylaxis and/or treatment of autoimmune disease or rheumatic arthritis. Invention represents a pharmaceutical composition comprising as active components antibody raised against human Fas that elicits apoptosis-inducing activity and compound with activity of folate antagonist or activity inhibiting dihydrofolate reductase. Amount of anti-Fas-antibody that is necessary to use for prophylaxis and/or treatment of autoimmune disease or rheumatic arthritis can be reduced and, therefore, to diminish probability that patient will acquire the tolerance to anti-Fas-antibody as result of producing antibodies against anti-Fas-antibody in the patient body. Invention provides expanding assortment of prolonged agents used for prophylaxis and/or treatment of autoimmune diseases.
