FIELD: machine tool manufacture, possibly grinding and polishing protruded edge of annular surfaces of ceramic articles. SUBSTANCE: in multiposition indexing table drive spindles with clamping chucks for ceramic articles are mounted; number of spindles is equal to that of table positions. Treatment is realized by means of abrasive belts arranged in units for discrete feed; said units have doubled grooves and two holders placed in diametrically opposite zones for treating ceramic article; they also have elastic members in the form of segments. EFFECT: possibility for treatment of full profile of ceramic articles of different size and configuration, simplified design of machine. 5 dwg
