FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: invention provides steel alloys that can be used in manufacture of welded pipes 500-800 mm in diameter. Steel contains following components, wt %: carbon 0.02- 0.06, manganese 1.20-1.80, silicon 0.03-0.10, copper 0.40-0.50, nickel 0,40-0.50, barium 0.005-0.05, calcium 0.005- 0.05, vanadium 0.05-0.10, and iron the balance. In addition, contents of following impurities are limited: sulfur ≤ 0.010 and phosphorus ≤ 0.015. Steel is well welded on mounting (up to -40 C) and during operation period ( from - 15 C to -20 C). EFFECT: improved mechanical properties and corrosion resistance in presence of corrosive media containing hydrogen sulfide. 2 cl, 2 tbl
