FIELD: self-cooling containers for soft drinks, beer and so on. SUBSTANCE: method involves filtering cryogenic gas; discrete throttling cryogenic gas; creating cryogenic gas flow in cylindrical spiral form into heat-exchanger unit inner volume. Device for liquid cooling comprises case with spiral corrugations and deflector arranged on case bottom. Cylinder with toroidal bottom located in case has throttle valve. Driving means has supporting lid and turn-push member, which provides cylinder movement into case by throttle valve opening or closing. EFFECT: possibility of liquid cooling within predetermined temperature range, hydrodynamic losses reduction, possibility of discrete cryogenic gas throttling, increased cooling efficiency, usability, safety, simplified construction, providing of reusability, possibility of device using with transport packages without considerable modification thereof. 19 cl, 7 dwg
