SUBSTANCE: device for recognizing speech composed of mixed vocabulary of words unique for each person and words of general character has means for accumulating aggregate of vocabulary symbols that functions to accumulate symbolic sequences of mentioned speech items for words of general character; means for extracting symbolic sequences for recorded words that serves to generate sequences of symbols of single speech items for recorded words out of entered speech information of particular speaking person; and recording means for memorizing symbolic sequences of single speech items for words of general character out of entered speech information of arbitrary speaking persons and generated symbolic sequences for recorded words in the form of parallel aggregates in means for accumulating aggregate of vocabulary symbols; single items of speech are, essentially, acoustic events generated by dividing hidden Markovian model of phoneme into separate states without changing carry probability and resultant probability values, and quantity of states.
