FIELD: nuclear power engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has chemical treatment chamber. The latter is provided with two internal baths having two holes coaxial with through holes of chamber. Baths accommodate fuel element supporting rollers made of anticorrosive material. Fitted into through holes of baths are dies with external opening angle of 100-120 deg. Chamber is divided by means of partition and has holes coaxial to dies and spray system for hot-water washing of fuel element surface in antechamber. Hot-water prewashing chamber is installed upstream of chemical treatment chamber. Fuel element washing chamber is also installed there downstream of chemical treatment chamber. In addition second washing chamber is installed. Mounted in washing chamber downstream of oxide film forming chamber are magnetostrictors. Both roller conveyers installed on tilted charge table and between chemical surface treatment chambers of device are driven by single drive with chain transmission system, drive shafts, and worm gears. Rollers of roller conveyers installed between chambers are provided with hold-down rollers. Trippers designed to throw fuel elements off two roller conveyers to tilted table are made in the form of slide levers turning on shafts with drives. Slide levers are engageable with sensors.
