METHOD OF FORMING TERMINAL CONTROL OF GUIDANCE OF CRYOGENIC STAGE IN PRESET ORBIT Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: space engineering; methods of control of cryogenic stages provided with cruise rocket engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed method employs linear time program of change of orientation of cryogenic stage in pitch channel (terms at angle and angular velocity) introduced additionally by nonlinear term at angular pitch acceleration. Deviation from preset orbit is periodically calculated by radius and radial velocity at predicted moment of cut-off of cruise engine. Functions of sensitivity of said deviation to change in parameters of pitch program are also determined for finding corrections to these parameters. Corrections are summed up with programmed magnitudes of angle, angular velocity and angular pitch acceleration, thus determining new magnitudes of parameters of pitch program. Radial acceleration at predicted moment of cut-off of cruise engine shall be equal to zero. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of performing maneuver by reducing rate of change of deviation by radial velocity at moment of cut-off of cruise engine. 1 dwg
