FIELD: A C 27.5 kV, 50 Hz power supply systems for railways. SUBSTANCE: approach can find use lateral balancing of traction loads at traction substations. Given transformer has primary winding with star connection. Secondary winding includes three-phase delta-connected windings and two windings of incomplete star connection. Each winding is connected with one lead to one of tops of mentioned three-phase winding. Its third top is connected to rails. Second leads of windings of incomplete star connection are connected to contact suspensions of arms of traction substation so that angle between voltages in arms of traction substation is equal to 90 degrees. EFFECT: minimized usage of copper, loss of energy, reduced cost of transformer and number of leads on traction side. 2 dwg
