PREPARATION FOR TREATING ACUTE POST PARTUM ENDOMETRITIS IN COWS AND METHOD FOR ITS APPLICATION Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: veterinary science. SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with antimicrobial preparations applied for treating acute post partum endometritis in cows and methods for their application. The suggested preparation includes antimicrobial substance as quinosol and, additionally, it contains hydrogen peroxide, carbocholine, distilled water, methyl cellulose and trilon-B at the following ratio of components, g/l solution: quinosol 1.5-2.5, hydrogen peroxide 2.0-3.0, carbocholine 0.5-1.0, methyl cellulose 10- 15, trilon-B 0.5-1.5, distilled water the rest. The method for treating acute post partum endometritis in cows deals with introducing preparation including antimicrobial substance at the dosage of 50-100 ml once daily for 3-5 d. The suggested innovation enables to increase economic efficiency of therapy due to decreased labor expenses, shortened terms of therapy by 1.8-2.0 times and quantity of sterility days by 1.4 times.
