TORQUE WRENCH Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering; hand tools. SUBSTANCE: proposed wrench has nut head with hole for engagement with fastener which is installed on one end of hollow handle, and torque adjuster provided with hollow rod, compression spring and adjusting screw. Nut head is made in form of bell crank whose axis is parallel to axis of hole for engagement with fastener in open cross slot on end of handle. One arm of bell crank gets into space of handle, being hinge coupled with hollow rod by means of tie-rod. Bell crank is installed to adjust position of its axle of rotation relative to axis of handle. Slot to accommodate axle of bell crank rotation made in nut head is oval. Mounting screws are arranged at both sides of axle. Torque adjuster is made in form of hollow screw installed on other end of handle, and compression spring is arranged in common space formed by spaces of rod and screw. EFFECT: simplified design of wrench, reduced dimensions of nut head in zones of contact with fastener, enlarged operating capabilities. 1 dwg
