FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: arsenic is precipitated in neutral medium by ferric sulfate taken in proportion (3.5-5.5):1 to dissolved arsenic. In order to transfer ions Fe2+→ Fe3+ and As3+→ As5+, any oxidant, e. g. pyrolusite, may be used. EFFECT: increased removal of arsenic from production cycle, minimized environmental danger due to reduced maximum allowed concentration of soluble forms, and reduced expenses to reusing reagents. 3 ex
