FIELD: tobacco industry; cigarette packers. SUBSTANCE: proposed printing device contains printing head, electromagnet and armature. Armature made of ferromagnetic material is movable in direction from and to printing head under action of magnetic field created by electromagnet. Device contains also sheet feeder delivering sheet to printing station to position between armature and printing head, and control device used to energize electromagnet and thus attract armature to fixed printing head, clamping the sheet between armature and printing head. Such design of device makes it possible to adjust force at which blank (sheet) is brought into contact with printing head easily and quickly by changing strength of current supplied to coil.
