FIELD: heat-and-power engineering. SUBSTANCE: the invention presents a vacuum deaerator, that is pertinent to the heat power engineering and can be used, for example, in units of make-up heat and power supply network. The vacuum deaerator contains a heating section, an overheating section, an expansion sector, a hydraulic gate linking water spaces of the heating and the overheating sections. It is offered additionally to equip the ceiling part of the overheating section with a hydraulic gate linking the steam spaces of the heating and the overheating sections. At that the ceiling part of the overheating section adjoining to an inlet area of the hydraulic gate from the side of the overheating section is perforated by holes, and the space above the ceiling part of the inlet area of the hydraulic gate should be linked through a pipe with a launder, that is located in the heating section under the water distributor on the side of the branch pipe of discharge of the vented steam. It allows to ensure an optimal differential head between the heating and the overheating sections, providing an efficient deaeration at the guaranteed filling of the hydraulic gate with the locking water.
