FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: invention is meant to measure instantaneous rotational speeds of electric motor, internal combustion engines, various rotating shafts and mechanisms, to study dynamic characteristics. Device utilizes induction primary converter made of permanent magnet made fast to rotating shaft and signal coil anchored on engine frame or induction primary converter made of ferromagnetic core made fast to rotating shaft and signal transformer with reference to which this core travels whose primary winding energized from D C source and secondary winding is signal and unit converting signal of induction primary converter and generating levels of voltage proportional to instantaneous rotational speed of rotation of shaft in specified circular rotational sector at each revolution of shaft. To measure instantaneous speed at each revolution of rotation of shaft first next negative half-wave of pulse of emf formed in coil at moment of approach of magnet is used to control process of reset of output level of analog storage to minimal value and amplitude value of following positive half-wave is converted with the help of analog storage to level of output voltage. EFFECT: potential for measurement of instantaneous value of rotational speed of shaft in specified angular sector of turn, simplified design of device as whole. 7 dwg
