FIELD: organic chemistry, herbicides, agriculture. SUBSTANCE: invention describes a novel agent comprising: A) compound among the group of substituted phenylsulfonylureas of the general formula (I) wherein R¹ means alkyl with 1-8 carbon atoms, alkenyl with 3-4 carbon atoms, alkynyl with 3-4 carbon atoms or alkyl with 1-4 carbon atoms that is substituted 1-4- fold with residues among the group consisting of halogen atom, alkoxyl with 1-2 carbon atoms and their alkaline metal salts; B) at least one herbicide active compound taken among the group including B a) selectively active herbicides with activity against herbs in cereal cultures and/or in maize; B b) selectively active herbicides against dicotyledonous weeds in cereals cultures and/or in maize; B c) selectively active herbicides against herbs and dicotyledonous weeds in cereals cultures and/or in maize; B d) nonselectively active herbicide against in untreated soils and/or selectively active herbicides in transgenic cultures. Invention provides the required level for eradication of weeds with lower consumption of herbicides eliciting broader spectrum of effect. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of herbicides. 23 cl, 20 tbl
