FIELD: rolled stock production, possibly hot rolling of steel bars in continuous rolling mills. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of multipass reduction of square cross section blanks in horizontal and vertical grooved rolls; at first two passes reducing blank with elongation degree 1.2 - 1.4 between horizontal rolls with flat oval grooved passes. Width to height relation of each flat oval grooved pass is in range 1.7 - 2.5. After first two passes blank is reduced between vertical rolls. Invention provides uniform deformation along cross section of rolled piece with elimination of flaw occurring in parting zones of roll grooved passes.
