FIELD: textile industry, in particular, fabric for manufacture of special-purpose articles, such as sportive vests for fencing with the use of electric foils and electric sabers. SUBSTANCE: fencer fabric is executed by fine-patterned weaving and includes two warp and weft thread systems, each comprising threads of chemical filaments for forming of background and metallic threads for forming of current-conducting network. Fabric weft repeat comprises 8-10 threads including 2 metallic threads, metallic warp threads being arranged in pairs, each being interlaced with weft threads within repeat in accordance with following dependence: (0,5Rw+1)/0,5(Rw-1), in offset relationship of 0,5Rw, with respect to one another, where Rw is fabric weft repeat. Fabric weft repeat comprises 4-8 threads, including 1 or 2 single metallic threads arranged in alternation with each 2 or 3 background weft threads so that each metallic weft thread overlaps one of two metallic warp threads and is overlapped by second metallic warp thread within full weaving repeat. EFFECT: low flexural rigidity of fabric and provision for keeping of optimal surface electrical conduction. 2 cl, 3 dwg, 1 tbl
