SUBSTANCE: proposed method and device designed for controlling temperature of various pieces of equipment and materials incorporating electric heating elements including treatment of thermoplastic, industrial rubber, and other polymeric materials for multichannel temperature control of heating zones of extruders, vacuum-molding and injection-molding machines depend for their operation on controlling power of inertia loads by connecting load during whole number of supply voltage half-cycles throughout entire regulation range, number of on-state load halfcycles being proportional to load power level; off-state interval of load is set to be identical for all channels and adjustable within regulation range, and on-state interval of load for each regulation channel amounts to minimum 10 periods of pulse regulation, pulse regulation period being minimum 20 ms.
