FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to prevent hi-jacking of front wheel drive cars of home make. Proposed interlock contains sleeve made in form of cylinder whose axis is square to longitudinal axis of shaft. Cylinder has at least to arc-like slots of width equal to diameter of shaft, arranged diametrically opposite to two each other into which balls are fitted to provide wedging between surface of shaft and arc-like slots of cylinder. Nut is turned into cylinder to stop against shaft from side opposite to arc-like slots. Stop is installed from side of nut. Said stop consists of three parts: housing, drum and grip. Housing and drum are provided with pins arranged coaxially over circumference along their axis. Pins of drum are spring-loaded to form lock mechanism. Drum is installed in housing for turning around its axis. Grip is rigidly installed in housing. Cutouts for steering shaft are made in housing and drum. Wrench is provided made in form of plate with recesses to unfasten lock mechanism. Cutout of grip makes it possible to housing, installed on steering wheel shaft, to turn together with grip around its axis in any side when being unfastened by wrench.
