Producer of laterocidin is the strain of bacterium Brevibacillus laterosporus that is obtained from the natural strain of the same species as result of multi-step selection. The strain is deposited at number VKPEM B-8287. The strain shows activity against series of Gr⁺ and Gr^- microorganisms, phytopathogenic fungi and protozoa microorganisms.
