FIELD: manufacture of fabric for protecting individual from electromagnetic radiation. SUBSTANCE: fabric has base manufactured from current-conducting warp and weft threads and made by plain weaving to form current-conducting grid of square cells. Warp and weft threads are arranged in alternation with background synthetic warp and background weft threads making yarn including cotton filament. Warp overlaps are arranged on face side of fabric and weft overlaps are arranged on reverse side of fabric. Current-conducting threads defining current-conducting grid are arranged at pitch of from 0.5x0.5 mm to 2x2 mm. Current-conducting and background thread ratio is within the range of 25-50:75-50 wt%. EFFECT: improved protective properties of fabric. 4 cl, 3 dwg, 1 tbl, 4 ex
