FIELD: agriculture, in particular, investigation of erosion processes. SUBSTANCE: method involves providing artificial sprinkling of soil monoliths placed in hydraulic trays; determining weight of washed out soil and dripping water, with soil monoliths being selected from plots under investigation after pasturing of different intensity has been simulated; simulating steep slope by arranging hydraulic tray at various angles; providing artificial sprinkling with various amounts of precipitation. Hydraulic tray is of 100x40x10 cm size and is equipped with racks fixed to its bottom and slots cut in its bottom. EFFECT: increased efficiency by modeling influence of one or number of factors on value and rate of surface erosion for several years on one and the same plot and increased precision of data. 1 dwg, 1 ex
