FIELD: mechanical engineering; seal.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to seals of hydraulic and pneumatic devices. Proposed seal includes parts with sealing surfaces forming ring groove, and flexible sealing element with projections on outer surface fitted in said groove. Projections are made in form of semicircles whose centers are located on auxiliary circumference of diameter smaller than diameter of circumference inscribed in ring groove. Semicircles are conjugated by arcs of additional circumferences to provide contact of additional circumferences with auxiliary circumference. Ring segment-like cavity is made on sealing surface of smaller diameter. Radius of segment is two times less than width of groove, and total depth of groove exceeds height of section of sealing element.
EFFECT: increased service life, enlarged operating capabilities.
