SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods used for purifying lithium chloride from impurities. Method for purifying lithium chloride from impurities involves continuous sorption treatment of lithium chloride at linear rate 1.5-6.0 ml/cm² min at temperature 10-40 C. Lithium chloride solution from storing capacity is fed through rotameter into sorption column filled with selective resin vinylpyridine ampholyte or selective resin Purolight S940 and the purified solution at the outlet from column is fed on Nutsch filter for control filtration and further for preparing granulated lithium chloride. This method provides enhancing purity degree of lithium chloride solution from calcium and magnesium as compared with existing methods, to reduce the treatment cycle and to obtain metallic lithium from purified lithium chloride with enhanced degree of purity by chemical composite and used in manufacturing chemical current sources.
