FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is dealt with nonferrous metallurgy, in particular, to processing of bauxites containing a fair quantity of organic impurities. The method of processing of the bauxites containing organic impurities soluble in alkalis provides for comminution of a bauxite, its treatment with a recycling alkaline solution, heating of the produced pulp and its lixiviation at the temperature of 140-250°С and concentration ofNa2Ok - 140-260 g/l, a dilution of the concentrated pulp up to concentration of Na2Ok- 120-160 g/l, separation of an aluminate solution from a slime, a slime washing, delivery of the industrial water after the slime washing for delution of the aluminate solution, cooling of the aluminate solution its decomposition with production of aluminum hydroxide and a mother liquor, evaporation of the mother liquor with production of the recycling alkaline solution. Dilution of the concentrated pulp is carried out depending on concentration of organic carbon(Сorg) in the aluminate a solution arriving fed to the decomposition. At that if the ratio of Сorg / Na2Ok is less than 0.06, then the concentrationof Na2Ok is kept in limits of 140-160 g/l, and if the ratio of Сorg / Na2Ok is more than 0.06, then the concentration of Na2Ok is kept in limits of 120-140 g/l. The invention allows to increase extraction of alumina from a bauxite.
