FIELD: aerial engineering, applicable in radio engineering systems.
SUBSTANCE: the loop aerial has at least one loop, in which at least one of the loop sections is made in the form of a spiral, and part of the wire that is not twisted in a spiral passes inside it. The spiral loops are wound in the direction of flow of currents in the given section of the loop at a distance of 0.125 of the wavelength from one of the supply points, and the length of the wire twisted in a spiral equals 0.25 of the wavelength. The diameter of the spiral loops does not exceed 0.025 of the wavelength, and the length of the spiral winding is at least 0.05 of the wavelength.
EFFECT: produced radiation by all the sections of the loop, which makes it possible to combine polarization of all kinds radiated by separate sections of the loop, reduced overall dimensions, enhanced efficiency, gain and the front-to-back ratio in multielement aerial systems.
