FIELD: methods of desulfitation of petroleum products, diesel fuel in particular.
SUBSTANCE: diesel fuel at reduced content of sulfur is obtained through mixing diesel fuel containing sulfides whose cetane number exceeds 50.0 with aqueous medium, hydroperoxide and aliphatic С15-C20 hydrocarbon for obtaining multi-phase reaction medium which is continuously passed through chamber for treatment with ultrasound during period of time sufficient for inductance of oxidation of sulfides in diesel fuel into sulfones. Multi-phase reaction medium is subjected to separation into aqueous and organic phases. Organic phase is separated from aqueous phase for obtaining diesel fuel at reduced content of sulfur.
EFFECT: reduction of organic compounds of sulfur in finished product as compared with starting raw material.
