METHOD FOR PREPARING OF COTTON FABRICS Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: chemical technology of fibrous materials, in particular, preparing of cotton fabric designed for further coloring and final finishing.

SUBSTANCE: method involves processing fabric in cooking solution including sodium hydroxide and preparation containing non-ionogenic surfactant substance; holding impregnated fabric at elevated temperature; providing whitening procedure including impregnation of fabric in alkaline-peroxide solution with moistener, followed by scalding. Fabric is processed in cooking solution at temperature of 40-45⁰C with the use of "Emcol" preparation including phenoxol based on acetale of alkylphenylpolyoxyethylene glycol, phosphate-based metex, carbamide and water, at preparation concentration of 0.5-1.5 g/l. Impregnated fabric is held at temperature of 40-50⁰C for 20-30 min. Moistener used in whitening procedure is "Emcol" preparation with concentration of 0.3-0.5 g/l. Scalding procedure is performed for 20-30 min. Method is used for preparing of fabric before coloring and/or final finishing procedures including cleaning of fabric from size and non-cellulose contaminants.

EFFECT: improved quality of processed fabric, reduced power consumption and decreased processing time.
