FIELD: plastic metal working, possibly manufacture of different system branch pipes in chemical, gas-oil industries and in systems for heat and gas supply in building.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of placing tubular blank in cylindrical guide for further pushing it into tore like cavity formed by roller freely rotating on axle and stationary die with curvilinear duct due to action of axial load upon one end of tubular blank at simultaneous pushing of it along inner surface. Branch pipe is made during two transitions. At first transition semi-finished product is made after pushing tubular blank by action of axial load at simultaneously supporting inner surface of blank with use of spoon-like drift. At second transition inlet portion of semi-finished product is sized with use of the same spoon-like drift in the same die.
EFFECT: simplified equipment and fitting for making branch pipes.
