FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed invention concerns motors, generators, or motor-generator sets, among them being permanently magnetized synchronous machines operating on sine-wave voltage supplies. Proposed electrical machine has circular range of stator windings 23 wound on iron cores 45 made of iron sheets or compacted powder and respective circular range of rotor permanent magnets 36. Windings are concentrated, wound cores 45 are alternating with unwound iron cores 46. Every other iron core is wound; core-to-core space number s and pole number p do not coincide, these numbers s and p obeying expressions |s - p| = 2*n*m, where n and m are natural numbers. Electrical machine is designed for operation on three-phase supply with adjacent coils connected in series so as to obtain 2*m such groups per phase suited to series or parallel connection. Proposed electrical machine running as motor can be used, for instance, as drive for vehicle wheels.
EFFECT: enhanced operating and economic efficiencies, reduced size.
