ABSORBING STRUCTURE AND ABSORBING ARTICLE HAVING ZONE OF HIGH ABSORBING CAPACITY Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2235559 C2

FIELD: medical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: device has absorbing single-piece element with upper and lower surface. Distance separating the surfaces defines absorbing element thickness of which upper 35% are given to high absorbing capacity zone and the rest being lower 65%. The high absorbing capacity zone has the first surface and the second surface separated with high absorbing capacity layer. Layer thickness is equal approximately to 35% of absorbing element. The high absorbing capacity zone has absorbing fibers and superabsorbing polymer particles. The superabsorbing polymer particles are available at a dose not greater than 75 g/m2 and separated from each other with absorbing fibers. The lower 65% of absorbing element are essentially free of superabsorbing polymer particles.

EFFECT: improved absorbing capacity and capacity of retaining flowing medium; contributing to skin dryness feeling.
