FIELD: bridge building technology; bridge piers.
SUBSTANCE: bridge pier includes anchor slab, lower and upper balance beams with mating sliding surfaces coated with anti-friction material, central pivot running through upper and lower balance beams and upper bearing slab. Novelty of invention consists in availability of sleeve on lower balance beam which embraces the pivot and form of upper balance beam provided with spherical sliding surface; bearing part is provided with additional balance beam with spherical sliding surface and mating sliding surface of upper part of upper balance beam; additional balance beam is supported through spacer made from anti-friction material by upper balance beam; pivot is used for connection of lower, upper and additional balance beams for turn of upper balance beam relative to lower and additional balance beams; sliding slab located between upper bearing plate and upper balance beam is combined with upper plate and upper balance beam by means of coupling bolts and retainer made in form of thrust beams with shoulders which are engageable with lower plane of upper balance beam.
EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability; simplified construction.
