FIELD: production of drawn products, namely manufacture of drawing tool for making shaped sections.
SUBSTANCE: drawing die includes reducing and calibrating zones whose cross sections are in the form of polygon. Polygons of cross sections of reducing zone have concave sides with constant rounding radius along cross sections and camber lowered in direction to calibrating zone. Camber value at inlet of calibrating zone of drawing die is equal to 0.1 - 0.3 mm. Polygons of cross sections of calibrating zone have rectilinear sides. Duct of drawing die is subjected to ultrasonic treatment, namely calibrating zone is subjected to grinding and then reducing and calibrating zones are subjected to polishing until achieving surface roughness Ra equal to 0.16 micrometer or less. Invention provides lowered friction factor of metal at drawing process and augmentation of ribs for compensating shrinkage value of metal in ribs of product.
EFFECT: possibility for making for one pass polyhedral section with accurate geometry size, high wear resistance of drawing tool.
