ANTICORROSION PIGMENT Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: chemical technology, paint and varnish industry.

SUBSTANCE: anticorrosion pigment represents calcium-phosphate-molybdate with the ratio molybdate ions to phosphate ions from 1:0.01 to 1:100. For preparing this pigment calcium carbonate is mixed with water, stirred at 95^oC for 1 h and solution containing ammonium permolybdate and ortho-phosphoric acid is added to the prepared suspension at intensive stirring. After addition of all components the mixture is stirred for 5 h additionally. Suspension is dried at 380^oC. Prepared pigment has bright-white color, its solubility in water is less as compared with calcium phosphate-chromate, it has no toxic properties, its anticorrosion properties after change of chromate ions for molybdate ions are not deteriorated.
