FIELD: manufacture of knitted products.
SUBSTANCE: double weft-knitted fabric of fancy weaving has two stitch courses formed by smooth surface weaving. Each second stitch of lower loop course is drawn simultaneously through stitches of its course and stitches of upper course layer both in the direction of stitch course and stitch column. Such structure allows novel texture effect to be produced, said effect being presented in the form of relief strips composed of arcs alternatively arranged in bending direction.
EFFECT: novel texture and provision for keeping form stability of double weft-knitted fabric texture.
