APPARATUS FOR FEEDING INGOTS IN PRESS Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: plastic working of metals, namely subsidiary equipment of presses designed for charging ingots into press.

SUBSTANCE: in guides of press housing slide with head is mounted with possibility of motion by means of drive mechanism to pressing axis. Head of slide is provided with upper and lower clamping members and guiding rollers. Said rollers are mounted on lower clamping member that is fixed on head, and they are used for placing round and flat-shaped ingots. Round ingot is placed at arranging guiding rollers in the form V-shaped chute. In order to place flat-shaped ingot guiding rollers are provided with horizontal chamfers. Upper clamping member is in the form of double-arm lever and it includes rotation drive unit joined with one of its arms. Second arm of said lever has two supporting sites; one site (nearest relative to rotation axis of double-arm lever) is arranged with possibility of engaging with round ingot, second site is arranged with possibility of engaging with flat-shaped ingot. Head is provided with vertical guiding rollers mounted with possibility of engaging with other lateral surface of flat-shaped ingot and it has drive unit for vertical motion of it relative to slide.

EFFECT: enlarged functional possibilities of apparatus.
