SUBSTANCE: invention proposes polynucleotide with an average chain length from 100 to 1 000 bases wherein part of 2',5'-phosphodiester bonds is from 0.1% to 3% of total number of phosphodiester bonds, or its salt. Polynucleotide represents polyinosinic acid (poly-I), polycytidylic acid (poly-C), polyadenylic acid (poly-A) or polyuridylic acid (poly-U). Method for preparing polynucleotide involves hydrolysis in solution at pH from 7 to 10 at temperature from 20oC to 110oC or treatment with phophodiesterase at pH from 4 to 9 at temperature from 20oC to 60oC. Also, invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition representing interferon-inducing agent, immune-activating agent and others and comprising the indicated polynucleotide.
