FIELD: electrical engineering; electric-arc furnaces.

SUBSTANCE: proposed device distinguished by improved dynamic and static precision of controlling operating coordinates of multiphase electric-arc furnace has arc voltage sensor in each phase whose output is connected through control signal shaping unit and amplifier to input of electrode displacement mechanism; arc furnace regulator whose inputs are connected to output of arc current setting unit and sensor; inductive reactance regulating unit of reactor whose output is connected to input of reactor, the latter being inserted in primary winding circuit of furnace transformer; in addition device is provided with first switch for connecting through this switch arc current regulator output to input of reactor inductive reactance regulating unit; arc power regulator whose inputs are connected to output of setting unit and arc power sensor and its output, to input of reactor inductive reactance control unit through second switch. Inputs of arc power sensor are connected to output of arc current and voltage sensor. Comparator inputs are connected to output of current regulator and arc power regulator and its output, to control input of first switch and through NOT gate, to control input of second switch.

EFFECT: reduced arc voltage, current, and power response variations and supply voltage fluctuations.
