SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the development of vegetative-base curative-prophylactic agent used for treatment of arthritis and arthrosis. Agent for prophylaxis and treatment of arthritis and arthrosis comprises the following components taken in equal parts: plantain extract or black elder flower extract, pot-marigold extract, thyme extract or elecampane roots extract, cowberry leaves extract, dandelion roots extract or burdock roots extract, or wild rose extract. Agent can comprise additionally sage extract as an active component, and nettle extract or bur-marigold extract, or violet pensy extract. Agent represents a liquid agent or tablet, or capsule with the content of active components 0.05-1 wt.-%. Agent can comprise sweetening agent and preserving agent additionally. Clinical tests show that agent elicits analgetic and definite anti-inflammatory effect and agent shows effectiveness for treatment of osteoarthrosis being as both in carrying out monotherapy and in complex treatment.
