FIELD: thermal engineering; power-to-heat conversion; district and individual heating systems.
SUBSTANCE: proposed heating unit that can be used for heating heat-carrying agents in heating system radiators and is installed in flow radiator has electric heater mounted in holding plug, its electric contacts being disposed on external end of holding plug; electric heater is disposed inside jacket that has closed end corresponding to internal outline of radiator fitting designed for installing it therein; length of this changeable jacket is a multiple of radiator section width. Closed end of heating unit can be made in the form of separate jacket-mounted packing, and jacket surface beyond radiator fitting is ribbed.
EFFECT: enhanced in-situ heating efficiency and reduced failure probability in case of emergency drain of cooling agent from district or individual heating system.
