FIELD: rolled stock production, namely process of continuous manufacture of electrically welded straight-seam tubes.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of forming tube blank from band; elongating tube blank at elongation factor 1.005 - 1.012; welding it in welding stand by means of annular inductor; determining position of annular inductor relative to point of edge meeting at stepwise removing it relative to point of edge meeting along axis of tube blank until elimination of occurring of metal splash out in edge meeting point at heating edges until their fusion.
EFFECT: enhanced quality of welded seam, elimination of incomplete fusion, saw-tooth like fins, less loss of yield.
