FIELD: space engineering.
SUBSTANCE: the method consists in turn of the solar-battery panels to the operating position providing for the supply of the space vehicle with electric power corresponding to the coincidence of the normal to its illuminated working surface with the plane formed by the axis of rotation of the solar-battery panels and the direction to the sun. Determination of the time moment of the beginning of negative action of the environment factors on the solar battery working surface. Turn of the solar-battery panels to the time moment of the beginning of action of the mentioned factors and return of the solar-battery panels to the operating position after the mentioned action is completed. Additional measurement of the density of the current flow of the solar electromagnetic radiation. According to the measured values, the time moment of the beginning of solar activity is determined. The time moment of reaching of the space vehicle surface by high-energy particles is determined. In the mentioned time moment the density of flows of the high-energy particles-protons and electrons - is measured. The measured values are compared with the threshold values. In case the measured values exceed the threshold values of flows of protons and electrons the solar-battery panels are turned through the angle between the normal to their illuminated working surface and the direction to the sun αs min corresponding to the minimum area of action of the flows of the high-energy particles on the solar battery surface, the time moment of exceeding of the upper threshold value of the density of flows of the mentioned high-energy particles is taken as the time moment of the beginning of turn of the solar-battery panels. The system of position control of the space vehicle solar batteries includes solar batteries with four photoelectric batteries installed on it, solar-battery turning device, amplifier - converter unit, control unit of solar-battery orientation in the direction to the sun, unit for turning of the solar, batteries to the preset position, two current regulators, storage batteries unit, charging device for storage batteries, unit for formation of commands for charging of the storage batteries, load current transducer, electric power supply control unit, electric power supply bus-bar, in addition, use is made of a unit for measurement of the density of the current flow of the solar electromagnetic radiation, unit for determination of solar activity, unit for determination of the time moment of action of particles on the space vehicle, unit for measurement of the density of flows of high-energy particles, unit for determination of the time moment of the beginning of solar-battery control according to the load currents, solar-battery control unit according to the load currents.
EFFECT: reduced influence of high-energy protons and electrons on the solar-battery working surfaces.
