FIELD: thermal processing of precision parts, may be used in mechanical engineering and in repair of machines for recovery of plunger pairs of high-pressure fuel pumps.
SUBSTANCE: method involves repairing plunger bushing according to pattern including heating bushing at temperature of 830-8500C for 4.0-5.0 hours, preliminary mechanical processing of bushing, heating bushing at temperature of 520-5600C to provide for hardness of surface to be recovered of at least 60 units of HRC, providing final mechanical processing of bushing; repairing plunger according to pattern: preliminary mechanical processing of plunger, heating at temperature of 520-5600C to provide for hardness of surface under repairing process of at least 60 units of HRC. Plunger to be recovered is taken from plunger pair with inner diameter of bushing exceeding diameter of bushing under repair process by one unit. After repair, bushing and plunger taken from different plunger pairs form novel plunger pair possessing characteristics similar to those of newly produced plunger pairs.
EFFECT: improved quality of surface after repair process, increased efficiency, reduced metal and power consumption and decreased labor intensity for processing of blanks.
