SUBSTANCE: device for measuring velocity has Doppler velocity meter, mechanical velocity meter, mode switch, frequency comparator, frequency-code converter. Periods comparing unit, periods averaging unit, additional mode switch, code memorizing switch, memory-limited operation unit and frequency-code converter are introduced additionally. Periods comparing unit has clock frequency generator, first and single univibrators, first and second delay elements, frequency divider, two-input OR gate, subtracting counter, parallel register, first and second summing counters, first and second code comparing circuits, three-input AND gates.

EFFECT: improved precision of measurement velocity and distance.
